Terms of Service

Welcome to Greenhouse. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Greenhouse iOS application and our website at greenhouseapp.co (collectively, the "Service"), operated by SBN Platforms, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company based in Las Vegas, Nevada ("SBN Platforms," "we," or "us").

By using Greenhouse, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Who can use Greenhouse

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area) to use the Service. By using Greenhouse, you represent that you meet this age requirement and are legally able to enter into these Terms.

Your account

You sign in via Apple or Google. You're responsible for activity under your account. Notify us at support@greenhouseapp.co if you believe your account has been compromised.

Subscriptions

Greenhouse is a subscription product. The Annual subscription costs $79.99 per year (or the local equivalent set by Apple at the time of purchase).

Auto-renewal. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each subscription period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Apple will charge your payment method within 24 hours of the period ending.

Managing your subscription. You can view, manage, and cancel your subscription in your device's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or via the App Store app. Canceling stops future renewals; you retain access through the end of the current period.

Refunds. All purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's standard refund policy. To request a refund, visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com. We generally cannot issue refunds directly.

Free features. Some features of Greenhouse are available without a subscription. We may change which features are free or paid at any time.

Virtual items and currency

Greenhouse includes a virtual coin economy and virtual garden items. These have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are not redeemable outside the App. Coins and items are licensed to you for use within the Service and are not transferable between accounts.

We may modify, suspend, or remove virtual items and currency features at any time. If your account is terminated for violating these Terms, any remaining virtual items or coins are forfeited.

Referral program

Greenhouse may include a referral program offering rewards when you invite others. We may modify or end the referral program at any time. We reserve the right to withhold rewards if we detect fraud, abuse, or self-referral.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service to facilitate illegal activity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission
• Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to interact with the Service
• Use the Service in any way that interferes with other users

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Intellectual property

Greenhouse and all related content — code, designs, garden assets, trademarks — are owned by SBN Platforms, LLC or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. We retain all rights not expressly granted.

Content you create within the Service (your garden configuration, your blocklists) belongs to you. By using the Service, you grant us the limited license needed to operate it (storage, sync, display on your devices).

Third-party services

The Service uses Apple's platform (App Store, Screen Time API, in-app purchases) and third-party providers (Google Firebase, RevenueCat). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ABOUT THE SERVICE, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

Greenhouse is a productivity aid, not a substitute for professional help with screen-time addiction, anxiety, or other mental-health conditions. If you are struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed by law.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms or at our reasonable discretion.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the App or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
